The Camelot Parishes consist of the nine parishes of Blackford, Bratton St Maur, Compton Pauncefoot, Holton, Maperton, North Cadbury, North Cheriton, South Cadbury and Yarlington. This group was legally established in 1976 as the first Team Ministry in Somerset. In 2001 the Camelot Parishes were re-inaugurated as a United Benefice, and the ninth parish Bratton St Maur was added in 2006. The Parishes are served by a ministry team that consists of the Rector, Assistant Priest, Readers and retired clergy. The nine parishes work together in a number of ways. There are Group Services, a Group Choir, a combined monthly magazine "Excalibur" and a Group Council which is concerned with joint activities and long-term planning.
