From Fourposts                                                                            May 2008

There is a famous hymn by Isaac Watts, which begins:

    O God, our help in ages past,
    our hope for years to come,
    our shelter from the stormy blast,
    and our eternal home.

    Time, like an ever-rolling stream,
    bears all its sons away;
    they fly forgotten, as a dream
    dies at the break of day.

Lois and I have been in the Camelot Group nearly four years after originally only coming for three, and sadly in a few months we shall be leaving to enter proper retirement?!! - and have more time for the family.  My last official Sunday will be on July 6th

In the few years we have been here, we have grown to love many of you and shared both in your joys and sorrows, which has been a great privilege.  Life never stands still, things are always changing - in recent months several of our close neighbours have died, and we see new people beginning to move in.  However hard we try and make things stay the same life moves us on.  This is why a faith in God is a Rock on which to build.

    It is he who is our help;
    it is he who is our hope;
    it is he who is our shelter;
    and finally it is in him we have our eternal home.

Every blessing in this beautiful month of May.
