The parish of Bratton St Maur (the ecclesiastical parish has a different spelling to the civil parish Bratton Seymour) joined the Camelot Parishes in January 2006 as one of the first changes under the Bruton & Cary Deaneries Pastoral Plan adopted as part of the Diocesan initiative Changing Lives - Changing Churches for Changing Communities.
