WORSHIP AT NORTHFIELD PARISH CHURCH
We have one regular Sunday Service each week, beginning at 10.30am.
On the first Sunday of the month is CHURCH 4 U - an All-age Worship Service
for everyone, with a very relaxed atmosphere. This is usually held in the church hall.
On the last Sunday of the month the Sacrament of the Lord's Supper (Communion) is usually celebrated,
in a more traditional form of worship service.
At Northfield we sing a fairly wide range of hymns and worship songs using Church Hymnary 3rd edition , Songs of God's People , and a growing number
of more recently written songs from varying sources.
Accompaniment for singing is provided by the (pipe)organ,
or sometimes by guitar or keyboard or piano, or by pre-recorded music.

OTHER SERVICES
Monthly services are held in:-
Granitehill House Sheltered Housing Unit, at 6pm,
on the last Sunday of each month
and
Hamewith Lodge Nursing Home, at 3pm
on the first Thursday of each month.
All members and friends are welcome to join the residents at any of these services.
At Easter each year the congregations of Northfield Parish Church,
Northfield United Free Church and Middlefield Parish Church come together for three joint services.
These take place on the evenings of Maundy Thursday(which includes celebration of Communion),
Good Friday and Easter Sunday.
The Services are held in each of the buildings in turn, with the ministers exchanging pulpits on each occasion.
On the Saturday before Christmas, the 3 congregations link up for some Carol-singing at the local shops in Northfield.
The 1/2 hour or so of singing is then usually followed-up by some very welcome hot soup and a cuppa in one of the Church Halls.
