Enthusiasts'Club. Magazine.

   Year 6 Issue 22       Summer 2008

From the Editor.

This issue carries six letters and e-mails sent in by readers. My thanks to all of you who have written in. On pages 2 we take a look at news of S&D from the Summer of 1983 - yes, that's twenty-five years ago. Then there's an article about the Patents filed by James Drewry on page 1, and we continue the series about the history of RCV's on page 3. There's also news of vehicles still in existence. In short, I hope there's something of interest for everyone.

Brian Carpenter. Editor. 1st June 2008.

Acknowledgements & Thanks.

From a quick glance through the pages of this magazine it is obvious that the magazine could not be produced without the assistance of a great number of people who have provided information, news, letter & e-mails.

I acknowledge my debt to these people. To Steve Jones and Tim Byrne for their help with the Short History of Refuse Collection Vehicles series, to the family of James Drewry for information about their grandfather, to the letter writers and especially to Karen Brand, Tony Bottomley's daughter, for her assistance during a difficult time for her and her family.
